ホテルにもできる別荘を展開する「NOT A HOTEL」による、瀬戸内海に浮かぶ佐木島を舞台に進行中の「NOT A HOTEL SETOUCHI」。
設計を手掛けたのは、世界的建築家ビャルケ・インゲルス氏が率いるBIG。伝統的な日本の平屋建築から着想を得た建築構成をベースに、地形にインスパイアされた3棟のヴィラと1棟のビーチサイドテラスが新たな島の風景をつくり出します。
“NOT A HOTEL,” which develops villas that also function as hotels, has released the room plans for “NOT A HOTEL SETOUCHI,” a project currently in progress on Sagi Island in the Seto Inland Sea.
The design was led by globally renowned architect Bjarke Ingels of BIG. Based on traditional Japanese single-story architecture and inspired by the terrain, the architectural setup includes three villas and one beachside terrace, creating a new landscape on the island.
